What We Believe

Christ United Methodist Church is Wesleyan .  Along with our founder, John Wesley, we believe and affirm the primacy of grace, through God’s working in the human heart to draw to the Father, to convict of sin, to convert to the Son, and to perfect by the power of the Holy Spirit.  As Methodists, we affirm God's purpose in us for righteous living in a biblically-based context of accountable discipleship and Christian growth.

Our Faith

Christ United Methodist Church is Purpose-Driven .  We believe that God has destined us for good works which He has prepared beforehand, and that we should walk in them.  God has a plan for us, both individually and as a church.  Our goal is to know and do the will of the Father .  We affirm God's activity around us, and that His voice speaks to us through Scripture, by the Holy Spirit, and by the wise counsel of believers.

Our Mission

Christ United Methodist Church is Missional .   As the Church of God, the Body of Christ, we have been authorized by Christ to take the gospel to every person.  All need Christ, both for eternal salvation, and to live well in this life.  In Jesus and him alone is life, abundant and eternal.  Our mission is, by word and deed, to make Christ known so that all might believe and be saved.
