A BRIEF HISTORY OF CHRIST UMC

Christ United Methodist Church is a congregation that is growing with tradition.  Drawing on its roots, having been founded as a Swedish Methodist church in 1883, Christ UMC has reached out to Fort Worth with a variety of names: Swedish, Mulkey Memorial, and most recently St. Marks UMC.  In 1992 St. Marks UMC on South Freeway became Christ United Methodist Church, with a new location: Sycamore School Road at McCart Street.  "Christ at the Crossroads" became a reality as we have been in ministry at this crossroads for 18 years.
