Counseling Services

Anita McNew is a counseling intern licensed to practice in the state of Texas.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and sociology from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master of Science degree in psychology and mental health counseling from Texas Wesleyan University.

Anita has experience working in residential treatment centers, community agencies, and private practice.  She works with pre-teens, adolescents, and adults as individuals, couples, families, and in groups.  Interpersonal relationships, stress, grief and loss, depression, self esteem, and communication skills are of particular interest to her, and she often addresses these issues from a holistic viewpoint.
