Dr. Chauncey S. Nealy
Pastor

Pastor Nealy loves to show people the great love of God, revealed to this world in Jesus the Christ. "This love," he says, "offers to fill the emptiness in everyone, and gives all of us the rewarding work of filling the world with the goodness of God. By becoming lovingly intimate with God we are blessed, and we learn how to bless others." Pastor Nealy urges people everywhere to receive the gift of abundant life offered by Christ (John 10:10), and to live lives of hope and hospitality, which help others get a glimpse of heaven. "In this way," he says, "our world of worry and woe can be transformed, and the kingdom of God revealed."

Chauncey has degrees from Texas A & M University, Commerce, The University of Texas at Austin, and Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas; but more importantly he has a story to tell. He says he's nobody, really; but he wants to tell everybody about somebody who can bless anybody - Jesus Christ the righteous, who comes to take away the sins of the world (1 John 2:1-2).

Before coming to Christ Church, Chauncey served 30 years in several ministries in Dallas, Fort Worth, and the Mid-Cities. But the work in which he delights is helping everyday people claim for themselves the work of Christian ministry. He is convinced that common people can do the extraordinary work of changing the world for the better, by becoming converted - made new - through relationship with Jesus.

One of Chauncey's favorite Scripture passages is 2 Corinthians 5:17:
If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation.

Pastor Nealy invites all to come to know the meaning of being "in Christ."
